Tips for Treating Hangovers

  1. Drink plenty of water. Before, during and after you drink.
  2. You need to replenish your body. Try our banana milkshake hangover cure.
  3. While you may think that fatty, greasy food will make you feel better, fruits and vegetables are really the best food to eat when you have a hangover. Try V8 juice.
  4. Don’t eat spicy foods. Stick to bland foods that are high in protein and carbs, like eggs and toast.
  5. Don’t mix alcoholic drinks. Don’t drink beer, then wine, then a mixed drink.
  6. Try to avoid colored liquors (whiskey, red wine, dark rum, etc.).
  7. Drink in moderation. Try to limit yourself to 1 drink per hour.
  8. Make sure you eat something before you start drinking and if you can, after you are done drinking.
  9. Avoid cheap alcohol. They tend to have more impurities in them that will only worsen your hangover.
  10. Alternate alcoholic drinks with non-alcoholic drinks. Try drinking a fruit juice of some kind in between drinks.
  11. Don’t drink coffee in the morning.
  12. Don’t drink more alcohol in the morning. You may temporarily feel better, but it will only worsen your hangover in the long run.
